Don Francisco Cuervo y Valdez founded Albuquerque on February 7, 1706 with the name, “La Villa de San Francisco de Albuquerque”. Old Town has continued to thrive for over three centuries on the banks of the Rio Grande River. It wasn’t until January 6, 1912 that New Mexico was admitted into the Union as the 47th State.
We know the sights, sounds, flavors, people, shops, products, places, photo opportunities and all of the unique things that give visitors the complete Old Town Experience. Whether you’re visiting Old Town for just a few hours or for several days, we ensure that you won’t miss a thing!
Old Town Tours specializes in informative, interesting and entertaining outdoor walking tours which share a wide variety of interesting trivia and historical facts in the heart of the Duke City.

Three cheers for the ghost tour! My husband, cousin and I had a blast with our tour guide, Charlie. There was so much information during this tour that my husband, myself nor my cousin (who is both born and raised out here in Albuquerque.) ..did not know about Old Town. Charlie took us to creepy places & told us great stories in history about all the spooky incidents that have happened here in Old Town. It was great to have a fun, friendly and entertaining tour guide. Boy, he ready paints a picture! Charlie was entertaining and Old Town is beautiful. If anyone wants a ghost tour, be sure to book a tour with Charlie.
This is our first time doing a ghost tour and we definitely enjoyed it even know who is really cold and snowy that night. I can’t remember the tour guide name (Fred?) but he was very friendly and full of knowledge of the area!
