I bought a Groupon for this tour and called to make a reservation. I even called to confirm the reservation the day before. I showed up at the correct date, time and place. However, the guide did not show up. When I called to find out why, he stated that they didn’t have it that night because someone that he knew had died. He made no apology or attempted to schedule for another tour. Horrible experience.

I love tours of Boston and have done a lot of them – duck tours, bus tours, boat tours, walking tour, etc. I tried to like this – I really did – but it was brutal!!! First of all, left 20 minutes late.Way too many people in the group (almost 30!). The guide walked so fast (because we left late) that we had to run to keep up with him although there was no need because even if you caught up to him, you couldn’t hear him anyway! I would say I heard about 25% of what he was saying because the group was too big. There were no ghosts in this tour! Barely legends. I’m not really sure what it was. He spoke about Boston famous and infamous people. There was not really any rhyme or reason to the dialogue from what we could hear. Some of the talk wasn’t even about Boston – “mole people in New York subway system?” There were no scary stories- some gross things but nothing scary. He spoke at great length about wild turkeys and how they are related to prehistoric velociraptors!! Not sure how THAT fits into Boston but . . . Anyway, really not worth the time or money!! The guides were really nice but the substance of the tour just wasn’t there! Sorry to say, first time EVER that I didn’t tip a tour guide!
